"RECONNECT 2009"-SECOND ALUMNI MEET

KOHINOOR-IMI School of Hospitality Management organised & successfully conducted its Second Alumni Meet Reconect 2009 on March 19th, 2009.

The primary objective was to bring the old students together enabling them to recall memories of three years of life at the campus and at the same time take a day off their routine work.

Another objective of the meet was to make them aware of further career opportunities which could arise after interacting/networking with their peers to strengthen this further, Prof Rod Bunting Principal Kohinoor – IMI presided over the meet. Prof. Atul Raman ,Dean, Kohinoor Business School. was the Guest Of Honour. Prof. Raman’s insight into work conditions, career opportunities, limited chances of networking two to three decades ago was an eye opener for those present. People have definately more opportunities now a days!

The Morning session comprised of welcome address by the Principal Prof Rod Bunting followed by the Vice Principal Prof. Debasish Ghosh’s speech and by Senior Manager Administration Ms Madhulika Siddiqui’s Speech.

Alumni Raymond Vana, Zubin Vania, Rohan Ranade, Neha Mehta, Roxane D’Souza Abhishek Kulkarni also recalled their times in Kohinoor – IMI and shared their experiences with the present students and also thanked the Principal and Faculties for their support.

The official function was followed by a sumptuous buffet lunch at the school’s well appointed training restaurant.

For the alumni, guests & faculty, the present students showcased their creative skills and competence right from reception, décor, Food & Beverage services and Food Production ably guided by respective faculty members.

The Alumni were left to mingle with each other after lunch, after all, some of them had not seen each other for years. The event was highly successful. Many alumnis wrote saying that they would love to come back and catch up with old times.
