Admissions Eligibility

Age Limit

Normal maximum age limit for entrance is 20 years of age. It is possible to apply without meeting the formal qualifications if the student has relevant work experience.

Academic

Any students applying for the program is required to have passed 10 + 2 Standard Examination of any Higher Secondary Education or its Equivalent (Any stream).

The reservation policy for reserved category students will be as per the prevalent rules of the Government of Maharashtra at the time of admission.

The decision of the University in this regard will be final.

Admission Process

Application Form

Application form can be bought either directly from the admission office in Mumbai by sending the DD of Rs. 1500/- or else students can CLICK HERE to download the application form. The DD should be in favour of Kohinoor-IMI School of Hospitality Management payable at Mumbai.

It is required that the application form should be filled completely by the candidates in its own hand writing and no part should be left blank. Before submitting the application form candidate should make sure that all the documents required by the institute is attached.

Aptitude Test

Written Test (2 hours) followed by 10 minutes Psychometric Test.

Personal Interview

Kohinoor-IMI takes a holistic approach to student selection. In addition to meeting academic requirements, students must demonstrate the maturity, personality and attitude appropriate for this demanding industry.

  • Payment of fees is to be made by DD/Cheque either at the Campus in Khandala or Head Office at Dadar in favour of Kohinoor - IMI, School of Hospitality Management payable at Mumbai.
  • Laptops will be issued to students within 45 days after joining, provided the entire Year I fees are paid.
  • * Caution Deposit is refundable after completion of the program. Deductions will be made, at the discretion of the Manaegement, in case of damage to school property.
  • Certification & Exam Fees to be paid by students £450 UK Pounds to International Hotel Management Institute (IMI), Switzerland, every year. This is to be paid by Demand Draft only in favour of IMI International Ltd. payable at Isle of Man, Douglas.

Rules & Regulations:

Note 1:  Fees are not refundable under any circumstances, be it voluntary withdrawal or dismissal on discliplinary/academic grounds. Only security deposit will be refunded.
Note 2:  As per Supreme Court Law any student indulging in ragging will be expelled forthwith.

Taxes All government taxes as applicable, are paid to be paid by the student.
Dispute Any disputes are subject to the jurisdiction of Mumbai Courts only.

Requirements for International Students

International students may apply directly to Kohinoor - IMI admissions office or via a local representative in their country. The complete application form can be either send though the local representative or if applying directly can send their application by fax, then post or courier the original.

Admissions Criterion

  • The international student should submit a complete application form with application form fee.
  • Applications are processed on a first-come-first-serve basis. For this reason it is recommended that applications are sent at the earliest after the process starts in the third week of February.
  • Students applying for the program should submit copies of their report and official examination certificates for assessment. Certified copies, translated if necessary, of all academic and professional qualifications must support application.
  • Students should have completed 12 years of schooling and hold the Higher School Certificate, International Baccalaureate or National Equivalent.
  • Students are required to turn 18 years of age before joining the program in the month of July.
  • Those students whose native language is not English or have not studied in an English School for at least 3 years must take TOEFL and score at least 175 marks out of 500.
